See The Signs

Hello again friends...

I have missed you all so so much...Feel so out of touch with everyone.. I did get to catch up on a few blog's, but still have so much more to catch up on. The last few days have been fine at work it all went smooth and stress free, unlike last weekend... it seemed to go by very fast too. Keeping busy just really makes the time go by.

Still been flying by in the calories and NO pop...Figuring out I can do this after all...getting plenty of exercise, not the sleep though, But did catch up a little today.

Amber says she misses everyone too...she will post again soon, she is just getting settled in and been taking time fixing up her room.

Tonight I thought I would share what has been on my mind all weekend...Cant seem to get all the signs out of my head...

Photobucket
There are so many telling you what to do and where to go.....

Photobucket
WHAT?
Photobucket
HUH?
Photobucket
MMMMM?
Photobucket
WHATEVER>>
Photobucket
DONT GET IT...

Sometimes it just gets so confusing.....

YOU JUST WANNA SAY.....
Photobucket

But there are those that just stand out that ARE crystal clear and make perfect sense...and that is what I've been doing a lot of thinking about the last few days....
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

This is my favorite and so true in the shape of a stop sign....because if you stop then you.....
Photobucket

So if you follow all the CLEAR signs and ignore all the things that don't make ANY sense then the only thing you have at the end of this journey is PURE JOY!!!
Photobucket

Just something I have been thinking about there may be a few......Photobucketin the road......

But you can get through it and overcome ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you set your mind to!!!

Want to leave you with this...

SIGNS

.Signs are everywhere, Some say stop and some say go,
Some say the speed limit and some say go slow...

On this journey your journey, and mine
Not tomorrow today is the time,

.Try to always see the positive in every day,
There is gonna be so many along your way..

Your gonna notice things you couldn't do before,
things you have only dreamed of at your door,

Tie your shoe with ease and lay down and see your feet,
Droppin' the pounds, closer to your goal complete,

Your pants are getting baggy and soon they wont fit,
Changes in your body You've come to far to quit,

People will notice you as they ask what you have done,
All you need to say is I put me number one,

I loved myself enough to keep going and never quit,
A lot of things I had to go through to get trim and fit,

See the signs my friend and hold your head up high,
Even if you think you failed just give another try,

No speed you have to go, no U-Turn in this game,
Dead end or to stop will only cause you pain,

Take one last look at your past erase it from your mind,
Only positive signs on this journey yours and mine:
By IRENE ANDERSON

Cheers to new beginnings,
Irene

  1. This sign analogy is really good, because so often I ignored the signs that I was getting from my body.

    Cheers to you!

  3. I'm very proud of you sweety. The pop thing is huge and you're totally kicking it's rear! Certainly doesn't mean you can't treat yourself occasionally---but you're certainly in tune with your calorie budget and it's hard to fit the soda pop. Just thrilled by where I know you're headed. And very happy to be headed in the same direction hand in hand with you.

    Love you dear,
    Sean

  5. Great Post, Irene!
You know, I am a HUGE reality TV watcher (embarrassing confession here), and at the beginning of my journey, I was watching some shows, even those that had NOTHING to do with weight loss, and yet, the message was being given over and over that it was my time to lose weight.

---Example - Hell's Kitchen - the contestant Robert got left out of many a reward for challenges because he was too heavy (couldn't go on a helicopter ride, ended up taking a Ferry and got there when their day was over, so all he got was a 2 way Ferry ride), then he ended up out of the game because he nearly collapsed and was found to have the beginning stages of heart disease.--

It was on EVERYTHING I wanched, as if I needed more reason to keep going. But, it was awesome, and motivating.

Its just amazing what you can learn if you just stop, look and listen.

Great job on no pop! You are amazing.

    Lots of love!

  6. I kicked the diet soda habit back in April. I told myself that after a month, I could start having them again if I wanted. Then a funny thing happened... I didn't want 'em. Every once in a while, I find myself about to order one and then go... why spoil a good thing?

Hope it works out the same for you...

    Excellent post.

  10. Loved this post, I see how much time and thought you put into it too which seems amazing with the 12 hour shifts. What hit me BIG was "People will notice you as they ask what you have done, All you need to say is I put me number one,". I never realized this was my trouble all along. Never giving up on myself too.

We can do this, we are doing this!!!

So glad you're here. Every post hits me and I love that about you!

  23. Great poem and post, Irene. You seem like such a genuine person. I haven't had a regular soda in maybe 30 years but I do drink a couple of diet cokes a day. What I miss is a glass (or two heehee) of cabernet...

  25. I have to admit buddy---I was very busy at work when I came across your post here. I read everything but the poem. Isn't it amazing how sometimes we can look right past the best part?

What an amazing poem. I don't know how you do it baby, you have serious talent.
Felt good lifting weights with you tonight!!! And running beside you on that treadmill was a fantastic thing.

    Fantastic just like our life.

    Love baby,
    Sean
