Wow what a busy fun filled weekend....we had a blast with each other friends and concert, it was a lot of fun!! I didn't weigh when I said, but I did finally did today, and i was disappointed with myself, i have a 5lb gain since I last weighed, I weighed 210 and today the results....were 215,Sean baby was very supportive and even changed the scale from lbs to kgs so I would laugh about it, it was very funny, he always has a way to cheer me up, one way or another...i want to be small enough for him to carry when he is strong enough to do it, and so I really gotta get busy!! To my defense I did have an amazing weekend and did consume a lot of alcohol so therefore I am bloated and was probably not a perfect day to weigh in considering all that is wrong with me currently including a whole bottle of rum :-) I know, how stupid was that...but I don't get to drink very often and when I had the opportunity I indulged WAY to much!!!

So I plan to weigh again in a few days, for a more accurate reading, just not convinced this is true...so we will see, but either way its okay just time for a change!!

Got to get better on the move department and the eating more so I can raise my metabolism off the floor full charge ahead and gonna get this done....once and for all.

Thank you for all the comments and the inspiration and the faith you have in me, because of you I know I can do this and I am not giving this up, the time is now.....just watch the change in me....

Cheers to new beginnings.....
Irene

  1. I was there baby, you're forgetting---you weighed under 100! Kg! I tried to make you smile by switching it to Kg, and it worked. Listen,
Don't let this get you down. just like I told you ealier after the weigh in. It's not 5 pounds of fat, i guarantee...water retention...very possible. You did over-do the alcohol, baby---you know that. But focus on how far you've come and where you're headed. Remember our conversation, this isn't anything to worry about. You know what to do.

    Love you baby,
    Sean

  2. This is just a small blip Irene, we all get them from time to time. You had a great weekend after a punishing week at work. You are entitled to let your hair down. It will be water retention fired by the alcohol
(you did have a good time didn't ya?)

That will soon come off. So don't be so down on yourself, just look were you started from and where you are now...Now isn't that something lady?

    Love and hugs

  3. Cheers to you! Just think how a while back you would probably just chuck it all and go after a whole heck of a lot of food to squash the emotions and disappointment. But not any more! You just continue because YOU'RE NOT ON A DIET. Its called life. Oh and its fun. You and Sean are such inspirations to us all. You are an incouragement. You're a teacher of us all. Keep On Keeping On! It's what we do.

  4. Irene says: "The time is now.....just watch the change in me."

What could I possibly add to this? You're an inspiration to all of us reading, and to those unfortunate not to read... they just don't know it yet ;-)

I'll always read. And, as always, thank you for your wonderful additions to my little thing.

  6. I know gains are hard to take, but I am right there with you - I am 100% positive that most of, if not all, is water retention!

In a few days, I am sure you will have good news to report - keep going strong!

    Lots of Love!

  7. two words: water weight!

alcohol has carbs, three water molecules held for each molecule of glycogen deposited. there is NO way you ate that many extra calories this weekend.

problem easily solved, GO IRENE! get that five off!

  8. Hi Irene. Great that you're not letting one bad reading throw you off track. And you've got Sean there to support your efforts every step of the way. I'm sure when you weigh later in the week it'll look a lot better. Maybe just 1/2 a bottle of rum next time?!

    Best wishes,
    Bearfriend xx

  9. Ups, downs, and all arounds...these things happen, and it's just a blip on the radar screen. It will come off as fast as it came on, as I think it's water weight/retention, too.

You are doing afantastic job and such an inspiration! Have a great week!

  10. After kinda overdoing the adult beverages myself this weekend, I can empathize. We'll get it off with a little extra "oomph" this week. You are doing very well, so I wouldn't stress too much about this little slip up. A girl's gotta have fun once in a while. :)

  11. Hang in there you'll get where you want to go. Guzzling that water will definitely help with the bloating. I've had weekends like that so I too can empathize. I love hanging out with friends and hubby though so that's what's important that you enjoyed yourself. Here's to a good week for both of us.

  12. I'm with you. When I do get the opportunity to drink, I tend to try to make the most of it.

You'll knock that five lbs. back off in no time flat.

  13. Next time weigh yourself before the booze! Jusst kidding but I know that stuff messes with me too. Don't fret you'll be back on track soon enough.

  14. As rarely as I drink anymore...I'm the same way. Instead of just one glass of wine...ooops, there goes the bottle. ;)

You sound pretty positive about it (kudos for that!) & I think the idea of change is a good one. Sometimes we just have to mix things up a bit in order to move that scale.

Before you know it Sean will be romantically carrying you to your room. ;)

    Have a terrific week!
